Namrata joined MITACS in July 2008, and is responsible for promoting ACCELERATE Ontario to universities, institutions and companies in Ontario. Prior to joining MITACS, she held the position of Senior Scientist in the R&D division of DFB Pharmaceuticals in Fort Worth, Texas. Her primary responsibilities were drug development and commercialization in the area of chronic wound healing and tissue management. Namrata has a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio and her areas of research were skin structure and function, wound healing and cellular activities in various diseased conditions.
