Michael Bellavia is the President of Animax Entertainment, a multiplatform production company based in Los Angeles that produces television and interactive entertainment.  A winner of one of the first broadband Emmy Awards, Michael has produced story-driven virtual worlds for kids, games, apps, and other social media for clients like Disney, Fox, MTV, Nickelodeon, Bravo, ESPN, Ty Inc and Spin Master.

Recently Animax launched Fun Nugget, a family-friendly gaming portal and developed and produced Popzilla an animated sketch comedy series airing on MTV and co-founder Dave Thomas’ Bob & Doug for Global TV.  Michael has led Animax growth since its inception, garnering a listing on the 2009 Inc. 500 list.  He has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Engineering from The University of Michigan and is on the Board of Delegates of the New Media Council of the Producers Guild of America.
